The August 29, 1951 Special Assembly Boca partners approved the acquisition of a building located one block from Las Heras, Malabia, Lafinur and Gutierrez, in our Capital City. In that land was then called North Park, formerly known as Park Romano.
The idea of leadership was to use this scenario for multiple sports and cultural activities. It was the realization of an annex in a remote area of La Boca, a novelty because except for moving the court to Wilde in 1912 by the eviction of the field used at the time, never before had a xeneize institution away from the district headquarters.
The property in the north of the capital had an area of 6897.24 square meters. The main part consists of an environment covered an area of square meters, Boca used before you buy it as a dance floor . Below that floor was the swimming pool. The entire area was covered stands and stalls and it was estimated that some reforms could house up to 30 thousand spectators. There were also other rooms to cater to convert gyms. And they were dressing rooms, bathrooms, offices, ticket booths, buffet and more.
The purchase of this place became an event in the social and sporting. The cost amounted to 5,152,000 pesos national currency, and Boca agreed to pay in several installments.
a subcommittee was created directly from the Annex and the following persons named in the charges determined: Jorge Mateu Pages (Chairman), Luis Juan Pertini (Vice), Raul Sicilia (Secretary General), John Covazzi (Treasurer), John Barbieri (Protesorero), Architect and Peter Hasquiry Caniglia (vocals).
On 7 November the club opened the doors of the Annex located in Palermo, serving wine to members and journalism, and displays of figure skaters, volleyball, judo, wrestling and film screening for children in the area.
What happened to this great venue? Unfortunately did not provide services and imagined a few years he broke away from Boca. Today occupy buildings that apple and no trace left of what once was in the hands of the club.
